Arnaud - Hi guyz, hope you're all going well ?! First useful basic question, can you sum up in a few lines the band history as of now ?
GTT- well we are a 5 piece band out of reno nevada. We love hardcore, meoldic core, and metal. We enjoy playing shows and writing music people can hurt each other too ha.
Arnaud - And what about the line up nowadays ? Any line up changes or feelings to share about yours now ?
GTT- well we have gone through a few bassist in our days, but I feel the line up now is stronger then ever. We got great guys as members.
Arnaud - What are you guyz doing for a living ? Is it easy to mix it with your band thing ?!
GTT- most of us do whatever we have to do to make it by, whether it be bussing tables, construction, wharehouse jobs, or anything that pays the bills. We also can be found on fourth street hookin.
Arnaud - Any of you guyz have side-projects or played in previous bands ?
GTT- well our drummer plays also for an amazing hardcore band called Barcadia. Our singer, bassists and 1 guitarist are starting a metal band called Age of Apocalypse and our singer used to play guitar in a thrash band call Hard Times. You can find all of these bands on myspace (plug).
Arnaud - Can you let us know what are your personal musical influences and the whole band influences ?
GTT- well our biggest influences are Love is Red, Since the Flood, Grimlock, See it Through, Barcadia, Figure Four, Verse, Final Fight, Punishment, and Have Heart.
Arnaud - How could you describe your sound to kids who don't know you ?
GTT- we'll what influences are sound is what we like to hear mostly in the music we listen too. So we are full of breakdowns, 2steps, stomps, gang vocals, and music that's fun and you can move too, or listen to on CD.
Arnaud - Can you tell us a bit more about the area you're coming from, be it its underground "scene" or the daily life !
GTT- well reno used to be mostly a straight edge Hardcore town. But now their are tons of great bands coming out now (Some SxE, Some Not). Our scene is so diverse now, from a big muscled headed jersey wearing hardcore kid, to the fashion guy wearing girls pants, to the metal head. Reno is changing everyday.
Arnaud - Any cool old or new bands from your area/city to recommend ?! Also any labels, fanzines, webzines, distros, etc...Be it close friends or not eheh !
GTT-Well first and foremost a shout out is due to December, Fall Silent, 7 Seconds, and XAFBX. Those bands have done a lot to get reno on the map. But now more and more bands are doing what they love to do to help make reno a more diverse place for music.
What's Worse is amazing, See it Through deserves to be on any big label, Barcadia is one of the hardest working bands in town, and Bloody Lip is a throw back to the early days of hardcore when it was all about live performance, circle pits and violence ha.
Arnaud - What are the few cd's/bands you're lately listening to on a regular basis ?
GTT-The new Death Before Dishonor, Since the Flood, See it Through and Final Fight cd are all very good.
Arnaud - As audience, what was your very first show you attempt ? Any other awesome show memories to share with us ?
GTT- our first show was with amazing bands, Suffokate Faster, To this Day and Rhinocerous. We were nervous but it was so much fun and all those dudes were nice and supportive. But everyone of our shows has sparked new memories.
Arnaud - And as a band now, any fave shows or fests you remember ?
GTT- Renos Halloween Fest is an amazing site. All of our bands come together and play on one big ass show. Also we played a show recently with our friends Throatpunch and Barcadia and it ranks up there as one of the best.
Arnaud - How is the crowd reaction to your live shows ? Any good venues in your area for hardcore/metal gigs ?
GTT- in our area their are a number of places to play. Reno as of late is a very Do it Yourself kind of scene, and if anyone would like to play a show you can contact a number of people and well set it up. The Ryland House (a basement owned by some nice people) allows us to throw many shows, and Knights of Pythaius is a place of choice these days.
Arnaud - Any crazy stories you had with the band, at shows or on the road maybe ?
GTT- Nothing too crazy really, just great crowd reactions and amazing people. We had a helluva time playing Fallon, Nevada. They had an amazing turn out for such a little place.
Arnaud - Is there any lyrical message within the band ?
GTT- just for people to stop wasting their lives on pointless shit. We try to speak from experience and also promote a straight edge lifestyle. But mostly, No Fat Chicks...
Arnaud - What is you your main goal with the band ?
GTT- to get Jeromy laid.
Arnaud - Weird and stupid question ahah, what means "hardcore" to you ?
GTT- Hardcore is a bunch of kids blowing off school, work, or anything else to gather into a little fucking room, listen to a band and beat the shit out of one another. Then waking up the next morning and going to work and school, and wishing you could do what you did the night before everynight.
Arnaud - Back on the music side, can you list us your band discography ?
Arnaud - Any new record and/or studio time planned for the near future ? Any label search or projects for 2007/2008 ?
GTT- we are recording a brand new full length in July and will be putting out ourself.
Arnaud - Do you plan doing a real tour soon ? With who ? What bands would you like to bring on tour with you ?
GTT- We are setting up a west coast tour and anevada tour with Bloody Lip, Barcadia, See it Through maybe XAFBX, or anyone else who wants to play.
Arnaud - What type of merch is available from you as of now ? How can we order them from you ?
GTT- We are having new shirts, hoodies made and will be online shortly. Check out Oner For buttons and such.
Arnaud - Thanx a lot my fellaz for your precious time and answers ! Feel free to end this interview with anything you wanna add !
Support See it Through, What's Worse, Throatpunch, Barcadia, XAFBX, Age of Apocalypse, Wintch Mob, Before I wake, and all of our friends.
