Fat Wreck Chords has revealed that Strung Out will celebrate their 22nd year with a new retrospective album. Few details have been revealed so far, but the label teased this much:
The music portion of the album is already in the works, and will include a number of surprises, both new and old. But in order to create a truly unique collection, the band is asking that all fans with Strung Out tattoos send the band high-quality photos of their tattoos along with their full name, city, state, and country of residence, to be included in a massive gallery in the album's packaging.

We had a good productive practice tonight (minus Rob..he’s on tour with Implants) We went over all the songs we’ve got written so far and we even wrote another one. I think we’ve got like 18 now and we will narrow it down to the best. December is crunch time cause we shall be hitting the studio by the 1st week of January 2014. This means, 2014 will for sure be seeing a new Strung Out album!

Strung Out's frontman Jason Cruz will be releasing a solo album 'Good Mans Ruin' under the name Jason Cruz And Howl. The album will be out on April 29th via Echotone Records

Spanning their more than 20 years together, STRUNG OUT have established themselves as stalwarts of the punk scene with an ability to organically evolve and continue to influence their peers. When STRUNG OUT began, as one of the first acts signed to Fat Wreck Chords, they quickly became known for their innovative blend of melodic skate-punk and aggressive metal-infused riffs. Over the course of their first 3 studio full-lengths they successfully honed their sound into a recognizable brand, setting them apart from their counterparts in both style and execution. In the spirit of capturing that distinct era in STRUNG OUT’s history the idea for a box set and reissues came about. Titled Volume One this box set showcases Another Day in Paradise, Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues, and Twisted By Design, all fully remixed by Ryan Greene (NOFX, No Use For a Name, Lagwagon, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes), helping to display the true power of these momentous songs along with nuances previously unheard. All the artwork has been reworked from the original pieces and now includes deluxe foldout inserts with never before seen photos and extensive liner notes from the band. The real gem of the box set (in the works for a decade!!!) is the first-ever STRUNG OUT DVD! Made up of a full 2012 concert where they performed the Suburban and Twisted albums in their entirety, all professionally filmed and recorded, the DVD is further enhanced with a TON of footage from the ‘90s: shows, tour antics, interviews, behind the scenes stuff; a veritable treasure trove of classic STRUNG OUT. For the vinyl hounds, the LP box set includes the rare album The Skinny Years… Before We Got Fat, remastered and on vinyl for the first and only time ever! (It’s also included in the CD box set, as bonus tracks on the Paradise disc) Of course, all three deluxe reissues will be made available individually in addition to being part of the box set. The bar has been set high with such classic material and Volume One definitely meets expectations.

кто не понял: тут 6 новый песен и 2 с предыдущих альбомов Unkoil (from An American Paradox, 2002) и Matchbook (from Twisted By Design, 1998) - все в акустике

а хороший релиз получился
